The address

The Forge Guesthouse, Mill Road, Saggart Village, Co. Dublin. Phone (01) 458 9226. The guesthouse is in the village itself rather than out on the bypass, which makes it harder to find with a satnav set to "Citywest" — it's worth keying in Mill Road, Saggart directly.

By Luas Red Line

Saggart is the western terminus of the Luas Red Line. From Connolly, Jervis or O'Connell Street the run is around 40 minutes, with the line cutting through Heuston, Drimnagh, Kingswood and Tallaght before reaching Citywest Campus and finally Saggart.

From the Saggart stop on Fortunestown Way, walk right towards the junction with Garter Lane, turn left onto Garter Lane in the direction of Saggart Village, and Mill Road is a short walk into the village from there. It's around five minutes on foot to the front door.

Tip. Saggart Luas runs every 8–15 minutes during the day and roughly every 15–20 minutes in the evening. Last service from Saggart heading into town is typically before midnight — check the live timetable on luas.ie if you're cutting it fine.

From Citywest Hotel

Citywest Hotel and The Forge Guesthouse are roughly five minutes apart on foot via Garter Lane and Mill Road. If you're at a Citywest event and the conference hotel is sold out, the walk is short, well-lit and well-trodden. By car the route is the same — useful for late check-in.

By car

From the M50, take Junction 9 westbound onto the N7. Continue past the Citywest exit and take the next exit signed for Saggart / Rathcoole. The road brings you down past the Citywest Business Campus and into Saggart Village; Mill Road is signed off the main street.

Parking on Mill Road is on-street and informal. The guesthouse generally has its own off-street spaces around the rear of the building — confirm at booking if you'll need to leave a car for several days.

From Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport to Saggart is a straightforward run down the M50 (southbound from the airport, exit J9 onto the N7 westbound, then exit for Saggart). Off-peak the drive is around 25 minutes; in rush hour, allow up to 45.

For travellers arriving very early or leaving late, the location works well: you stay outside the city, beat the M50 morning crawl into town, and you're inside the airport's "near-airport hotel" radius without paying near-airport prices.

By taxi or rideshare

Both Free Now and Uber operate in Dublin. From the city centre, expect a fare in the €40–€55 range to Saggart depending on time of day. From Dublin Airport, fares run roughly €45–€60. The Luas is meaningfully cheaper if you have time and minimal luggage.
